In this line of work, its clear that renovation stress doesn't come from bad luck, it comes from lack of process. With over 30 years experience in the Ottawa area, we have learned alot when it comes to the need for structure on a job. No business can function optimally with vague quotes, constant change orders, missed timelines, messy sites and most of all unclear decisions.
We have learned that preventing unnecessary stress benefits both you and us. As a home owner you should know exactly what your project entails, how your contractor will proceed, what's included and what decisions need to be made.
When commencing a project we don't guarantee zero surprises (they sometimes happen). The goal is to have open dialogue, a clear process and quick decision-making to progress smoothly.
What you can expect:
Complimentary consultation: During this time, we will view the area, take the measurements and pictures required to generate your quote and review your project wish list.
Quoting process: Once we generate your quote, we will work with you to ensure we stay within your budget and answer any questions you may have.
Prior to Start: We will provide you with a project outline so you know exactly what to expect, along with any necessary project contacts. You will receive a list of suppliers/contacts and any selections your project requires.
Job Scope Binder: Every job scope binder contains all the information you need for your project including the work outline, requested changes, specifications for all appliances, booked trades, floor plans, and contacts.
Day ONE is DEMO! Don't worry, we will protect your site, including floors, dust control, daily clean up etc. We know (especially with kitchen renovations) that we are in your personal space and we do our best to ensure the process runs as cleanly and smoothly as possible.
It's normal to second guess or change your mind during the process. Contact the office (either your Client Service Representative or the Office Administration Staff for any changes or last minute additions. We can review pricing and timing changes that this may bring prior to moving forward. This is the best way to communicate and ensure nothing is missed!
And what happens when it is all finished? Take a minute with us and we will walk through the project, create any deficiency lists to be addressed and make sure you are left with a project you are proud of!
If you are planning your next renovation and want it to run properly with clear scope, clean jobsite and no guessing...reach out! We will walk your space with you and help plan a realistic roadmap before the first hammer swings!
